The University of Macerata (UniMc) was founded in 1290 and is one of the oldest universities in Europe. Over the years thousands of UniMc graduates have become distinguished professionals, entrepreneurs, leading public figures, educators, researchers. This glorious past is projected into the future and UniMc is strongly committed to innovation both in teaching and research: the focus on the humanities and social sciences is UniMC’s main strength. With around 10.000 students enrolled and about 600 staff employed, UNIMC is the only university in Italy that is specialized exclusively on Social, Economic and Human Sciences (SSH).

OTHER IMPORTANT INFO:
The maximum tuition fee amount for a full-time enrolment in bachelor’s and master’s degree programmes is approximately € 1,600 per year. 
Yearly tuition fees are to be paid in 4 instalments:
1st instalment deadline (€ 156 including the € 140 regional tax for the right to study and the € 16 tax stamp) is October 31st
2nd instalment deadline is January 31st
3rd instalment deadline is March 31st
4th instalment deadline is May 31st.
The total tuition fee amount can be considerably reduced based on specific conditions.

FEES REDUCTION:
Regardless of the nationality, all international students may apply for a reduction on the yearly tuition fees when enrolment and merit requirements are satisfied. 
Enrolment fees vary as specified below:
Students from an extremely poor and developing country: € 156 per year
Students from a non-OECD member country: € 156 per year
Students from an OECD member country: € 807 per year

UNIMC SCHOLARSHIPS:
UniMC supports capable and deserving international students wishing to pursue their education in Italy. In particular, the most talented international students enrolling in the first year of a bachelor’s or a master's degree programme are awarded scholarships worth €10,000.00, including a total exemption from payment of fees for the entire duration of their studies. link

ON-CAMPUS JOBS:
Part-time on-campus jobs are paid opportunities that UniMC offers to all students for financial support. Selected students are engaged in a range of activities providing support to the university offices and services. Students can apply for merit-based on-campus jobs (senior tutoring and part-time collaborations) every year.

INVEST YOUR TALENT IN ITALY SCHOLARSHIPS:
UniMC is a proud partner of the Invest Your Talent in Italy (IYT) programme, which offers scholarships to students from the following countries: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Bangladesh, Brazil, Colombia, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Mexico, People’s Republic of China, Republic of Korea, Tunisia, Türkiye, and Vietnam.The programme allows selected students to enrol in English-taught master’s programmes at Italian universities, including UniMC. It combines academic study with practical training through internships at Italian companies.The call for applications is launched yearly. link 

GRANTS FOR FOREIGN AND ITALIAN CITIZENS LIVING ABROAD AWARDED BY THE ITALIAN GOVERNMENT (MAECI SCHOLARSHIP):
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) offers scholarships in order to foster international cooperation in cultural, scientific and technological fields, to promote the Italian language and culture and to support the Italian economic system in the world. These grants are available to foreign citizens and Italian citizens living abroad (IRE) who wish to pursue study, training, or research programmes at public or legally recognized Italian institutions. Scholarships are exclusively available for courses taught in Italy.
